Cinnamon Buns Prep Board by PoppyCorn99 Cinnamon Buns Prep Board by PoppyCorn99
Mmmm...Cinnamon buns.... Oh wait, I haven't had one in forever. Do I even remember what they taste like?

This is for a contest by the group Semi-sweeties! [link]
:iconssprep01plz::iconssprep02plz: (almost missed the deadline XD)

I made this as close to 1/12 scale as I could. the smaller board is about 4.5 x 6.5 cm and the large board is about 5 x 10 cm. Made from Premo clay.

Edit: The cinnamon buns and raw dough are made from Premo, not the board. XD

Lol my mom bought it at either Walmart or Hancock Fabrics when she was making some doll clothes. I just cut off a piece, then I pulled at the edges, which caused the weaving to come "undone" a little.

I can't stop staring at this! Now I know how cinnamon buns are made just by looking here. ;D I like how you created the effect that the cinnamon buns grow in size after being baked.

Well thank you, I'm flattered!
I tried really hard to make this as realistic as I could with my level of experience, and I, for once, am happy with something I made XD
I really wish I had more experience with photography though, because they really do look better in person and I failed to capture the image quite the way I wanted to. Oh well, live and learn! :D

I understand, it's because making mini food is so addictive, so it's quite easy to pick up on tips and improve.
Your cinnamon buns look pretty amazing still. Have you tried using a lamp for the lighting? I find it's much softer than natural light.

You're welome again! Congratulations on the Top 10 too. :meow:

Yeah, I actually started out with a lamp, but the lights we have at home are too yellowish and...yucky XD. So for now I'm using natural light.
Thank you! :D

I love the "mess" you purposely made for this board with the flour, sugar and egg. It really makes it look more realistic! Really looks realistic! What did you use as a icing bag though? it looks like a cover of a pen or something?

Amazing job! :)

Thanks, it feels good when people notice the details I put into my work!

Lol no, it's actually just a piece of rolled up candy wrapper. It didn't end up the way I wanted it to be though. But now that you mention it, it kinda does look like a pen cover! :D XD

LOL NO, no, it's not my first. I've made a couple that I haven't posted here (also I go into perfectionist mode when I work with clay, so I think that made me improve a little quicker than others would, because I'm very picky with what I consider "done".) It's not the right thing to do though XD

It does take a while to get the "hang of it", but when you do, it gets easier to do certain things, and you find you can do things neater and faster (at the same time) XD
